About the artist: Mazarine is skilled in a variety of mediums, but her favourite is Acrylics & Inks on Canvas. She is a realistic abstract artist, and she describes her unique style as “mysteries in colour.” Her “mysteries in colour” are almost always inspired by real people, but you need to work through the clues before the canvas reveals its subject. Sometimes you get it right away, at other times it takes a while.

Mazarine gets her inspiration from all of nature’s creations, but she finds the human figure most fascinating and specifically the woman form. “It is not just beautiful, it is incredibly expressive – it has a language of its own!” It perhaps has a larger vocabulary than any spoken language. This ‘language of the body’ has been a subject of most of my work. Whenever I feel the need to express my thoughts or convey a message it has been through this ‘language of the body.’

She has exhibited in various countries and her artworks have found homes all over the world, and specifically in India, Australia, France, Canada, Switzerland, Pakistan, Bahrain, Indonesia, United Kingdom and UAE. She finds her inspirations in cafes over a pot of tea or a glass of wine, reading, writing, sketching or just dreaming.
