Myra Evans ( B.A., M.A. English Literature, Hunter College, Univ. of Wisconsin) is a Toronto based watercolour artist, who emigrated to Canada from New York City. After completely a long and rewarding teaching/administrative career at the secondary level in the Toronto High Schools, she retired to pursue her first love, painting in watercolour. Myra has studied extensively at the Haliburton School of Fine Arts, as well as participating in numerous professional workshops in the U.S., Ontario and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. As well as being an art educator, Myra is a classical pianist and avid world traveller. She believes that her on-going love of music has enhanced her development as an artist. Her evocative landscapes and dynamic dance images can be seen at regular exhibitions at Todmorden Mils, Praxis Gallery - Queen Street, and at her studio in Toronto.
